sunny arvo outing

couldn't wait for the weekend this week - even with it being a short week i was shattered by the end of it.  today has been a beautiful sunny day.  started it off by being lazy and having a lie in.  then took miski for a walk around the neighborhood which she really enjoyed. then i met a friend at willoughby park winery in denmark (a little hippy-ish town 30 minutes west of albany) for her birthday lunch.  the place was much bigger than i thought it would be and set up for enjoying sunshine.  the food was amazing!  i had riesling and a spanish chicken dish with potatoes and fennel. yum! then i couldn't resist and got passion fruit creme brulee.  talk about decadent.  nat's friends are all lovely and chatted me up during lunch.  the drive to and from was really pretty so i stopped to take some photos.  then came home and took miski for another walk around our house. she's really tired now thank goodness.  we've been enjoying the sunny spot in the window together ever since :)  tomorrow we might take a walk by the windmills if the weather is good. ps - arvo means afternoon here.  i love the abbreviations they use - saves so much breath!  more photos here
