cheynes beach camping day 2 (3.1.13)
so next day, jan 3rd, we slowly got our of the tent and went fishing again around 9am. it was a hot one and very windy. i spied some cool crabs and miski mostly chilled on the rocks. she was a really good girl today and was very obedient and calm. how unusual! jose tried fishing for several hours and only caught a bunch of sea weed and a little funny unicorn looking fish. sigh. but it was the wrong time of day really. anyway after we'd had enough sun we decided to pack up and head home and not stay another night because we'd be too cold again. it was a beautiful place and we had a good time but it wasn't worth freezing through the night. i think we prefer free camping without a lot of people around anyway. would be a good day trip next time since it's so close to home. miski is totally zonked out now and so are we! so sad my very short holiday is coming to an end...wish i could have a few more weeks off with jose. more photos in the cheynes beach camping album

Too bad you guys forgot your blankets and pillows (and earplugs!). The fish that Jose caught is
ReplyDeletekind of cute. Do you know what type of fish it is? Can you eat it? I think you referred to it as a 'unicorn fish' - is that the real name?
