Bacon!
Ryan woke up very cheerful and very hungry this morning. He had an enormous brekkie today. He had cereal, pear, yogurt and bites of egg and bacon too! Today was his first time trying bacon and he absolutely loved it and cried when I took the piece away. Daddy was very proud :)
Ryan the art connoisseur
Ryan is such a funny bunny. He's got such a lovely personality and cute little quirks. One is that he absolutely loves aboriginal art! We have a painting in our house and he goes gaga for it. He babbles up a storm and reaches for it. At Ngala he did the same but only to the aboriginal art prints. I wonder if it's the dots or the colours. I think it is so cute. And a memory I will treasure forever. He's a true Aussie bloke :)
Three mums and their bubs
A lovely photo opportunity we couldn't pass up because we are almost never in the same place at the same time!! It was me and Ryan, Billie and Tillie and Louisa with Isobel. Ryan and Tillie are only a week apart and Isobel is 9 1/2 months. I'm going to seriously miss these girls.
Billies bday
Today is billies birthday! Happy birthday Billie! We joined Billie and crew at emu point for tea and cake which was lovely. Unfortunately Ryan woke from his nap way earlier than expected so we could only stay a short while. But it was so fun to get out and see her and Louisa and their babies. Ryan was the sole boy baby so he enjoyed having all the chicks to himself :)

Home again home again jiggety jog
Friday morning we flew home with the sparrows. Unfortunately when virgin australia took over the flights from albany to Perth they cut the midday flight. Well that left us with crack of dawn flights or evening ones. Terrible times for babies. So we hate you V Aus. Boo. Anyway I had to get poor Ryan up at 4:45 am. He was sleeping so soundly he didn't wake until I had him halfway into the taxi. He loves planes so he enjoyed the ride and looking at all the passengers. A flight attendant held him for me while I went to the loo and when I returned, worried he'd be crying, I found him at the end of the plane leaning all the way over and grabbing at everyone's hair. It was very cute. The guy said he was very wiggly. Which I guess is true though I've not noticed it much. It's increased gradually. He loves his carrier anyway which is lucky for me! We had a nice day at home together too and he had some stellar naps and a good nights sleep.

Tasty toes
Ryan has been playing with his feet for months now and has gotten even more into them lately. And then on Wednesday the 27th he put his toes on his mouth for the first time! They must be very tasty :) so now I get to call him by the namesake my grandpa gave me when I was little - chocolate toes :)
Trying to crawl and piano man
On Thursday Ryan woke up very happy after a pretty great nights sleep. He had a huge dinner and then went without a feed again but had an hour and a half waking where he needed help to get back to sleep without a tummy full of milk. After a big brekkie he played with the other kids there. I popped him over my leg and he immediately started to push up on his hands and feet with his tushy in the air. It was so cute. He had almost no weight on my leg really. He was rocking back and forth and trying so hard to walk. Adorable. He then banged away on the crocodile xylophone and had a blast. Mr personality!! Naps are still a mystery but he's just too clever and can't turn his busy brain off. That's what the nurses say :) he was a big hit there.
