jose woke up today and pushed me out of bed so we could go hike the mishe mokwa trail i'd been telling him about. finally we had a day without mist/fog. took about an hour to get there and by then it was about 9:40 and getting fairly hot. maybe mid 80's? anyway we saw nobody on the trail the whole time! it was just as stunning as i remembered. 7 miles round trip, beautiful loop through the santa monica mountains, with three peaks to climb and see 360 views from. took us about 2 1/2 hours which was pretty good. after we got back to PCH we went to neptune's net for some seafood and lots of water. we were so tired and super dirty. fun!!!
