Big bash
Mom threw us a Peruvian party yesterday and it was awesome! So many people came and we got to catch up with so many people we haven't seen in ages, or in Joses case people he'd not yet met! We had great Peruvian food - arroz verde and pollo a la brasa and tres leches torta. Yum! Also tons of wine and appetisers of course. Thanks for coming everyone!!!
Before the party
Had a super chill Saturday. I wasn't feeling very well so we just relaxed and tried to stay cool. I had great froyo which was awesome and mom and ray got banana splits but my mom got melted chocolate ice cream all over her skirt! Too hot! Anyway then we toasted with the wonderful Moët Chandon champagne that ray got us. Yummy!!! Thanks ray!

Ihop
Since getting back from peru we've mostly been relaxing and trying to beat the heat. I've been indulging in ham sandwiches and chicken salads. This morning we went to the dentist and after decided to try ihop. Lots of food and it was ok but not super exciting.

Yay ham sammies
We slept a lot after our long journey home and when we woke up I was really craving a ham sandwich. Went to the store and got all the fixins. Yum!!!

Leaving peru-arriving in the states
Leaving peru today was very hard. His family was understandably sad and so was jose. Hopefully we can come back in two years, which is quite a while. I'm happy he got to see friends and family and home and eat comfort food for him :) our flight to Lima was fine, uneventful. But our flight to LA was awful. Lots of turbulence, so so food, 6 hours with no water offered, grumpy staff, and at the end we had to stay on the plane until the two ashtrays that were stolen from the toilet were returned. Apparently that is a big deal. Weird and annoying. At least we made it back!!!
