Normans beach

Slept in late again today. Can't believe my break is almost over! Yuck! We bought a dryer on sale today too which is pretty exciting. Then we decided to head to Normans beach at two peoples bay. It was very pretty but way too windy. Miski loved it of course.

Anzac Day

This is our fourth Anzac Day since we moved to australia and still we haven't made it to a dawn service. It's just too early. Maybe next year. Almost didn't get to have one here this year due to the fire on mt clarence. We did eventually get up today and went to eat at chicha. On the way there we noticed a huge gathering at the port. Happy Anzac Day everyone :)

Sunny window

We've been busy the last few days but Miski sure hasn't. She enjoyed her sunny window as usual. Also there seems to be a rather large fire on mt clarence this evening.

Another walk at Ellen cove

It's another holiday here since Easter fell on a Sunday. We woke late and did a bit of housework and once the drizzle stopped we went for one of my favorite walks...Ellen cove. Miski was thrilled and it was a beautiful day with perfect slightly cool weather. Lovely. I miss holiday traditions at home though...like Easter brunch with the family. Anyway I made a tuna sandwich on a croissant for lunch just like my mom used to make me for school lunches. That really hit the spot!

Salteñas

Today we got up fairly early and grabbed bread and treats at the farmers market and did some other errands around town. I've been dying to eat salteñas again so we made some this afternoon for a late lunch. Delicious!

Ellen cove stroll on Good Friday

Hooray! I have 10 days off and I am so excited to do nothing! We woke late and lolled in bed. Then we took the dog for a stroll at Ellen cove, which was beautiful today. Tried to go to the shops but they are all shut...annoying. Wish I was in the states for my moms Easter brunch!

Ledge point

Jose finally came home last Monday! Yay! Thank goodness. We took poor bored Miski out for a romp at ledge point beach-the other side of the beach where we normally go. It was even more beautiful. There were a lot of people there because it's such a nice day today but Miski did get a nice run in. Wish this weather was more common here :)
