tired jose and veggies

Poor jose is so tired from all the work outside. How cute are they! Also planted some more veggies and a semi dwarf mandarin tree the other day. Loving the garden. Got two Chinese horse statues for the garden too :)

hanging more photos

got this great frame at a garage sale and I put some of our peru and other south america pics. love it!

Playing wii and patio work

Jose has been enjoying his time at home. Sadly I have been flat on my back with the flu. Oh well it means he's had uninterrupted wii time :) we rented another jackhammer and jose made quick work of the last of the cement out back. Just have to pave it now whee! Wish I could help. Jose has also been driving me around now he has his license. It has been awesome.

red velvet cake heaven

after all the stress I've been under and the travel I guess it shouldn't be a big surprise when I woke up very sick with the flu. Great. Poor jose, every time he comes home I relax and get sick. Anyway the day before I got sick we took Miski for a run and I made red velvet cake from scratch. My favorite!

Miski's new soccer ball

Well we have been able to get some of the paperwork done so that's good. Hope to finish the rest soon so this can be done with already. Jose made us some yummy lomo saltado and we gave Miski her present from Sydney - a tiny soccer ball that's just her size! And of course she loves it! And she loves the beach.

My two cuties

So great to have jose home! Sadly we have to do more paperwork now so no rest for the wicked.

Enjoying Sydney

Before the visa appt we had a nice breakfast at a little cafe. Then we spent several stressful hours at the us embassy. Didn't go as expected but his visa will be approved once we do a bit more paperwork. So boo and yay. The whole process has been awful and stressful. Anyway after we did some shopping and had a great Japanese feast in a private room. It was very  nice but sydney was so humid while we were there - we were so sticky! Then had room service that evening. Next morning we left at 5am and had a 4+ hour flight to perth followed by a 5 hour drive back to albany. Yikes.
