Walk on the beach

We took Miski to ledge beach today. She loved it of course! It was a bit cold at first but warmed up as we walked. Got to see baby sucking his thumb and yawning (huge ones!) on ultrasound yesterday. Pretty amazing.

Lovely lunch

Met a girlfriend today for a lovely walk at the beach and then lunch at a local cafe. It's nice today, though a tad windy. So nice!

Pork and polenta dinner

Today I made pulled pork in the slow cooker with my favorite spice rub for pork (cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, brown sugar or honey, red wine vinegar, olive oil, thyme) and then whipped up some creamy polenta. I also made pickled carrots from an epicurious recipe. They turned out great! Now I just need some triple chocolate cheesecake...which I ended up making too :)

Enjoying the sun

Today we did some cooking and household chores and such. It's such a lovely day that we spent most of it outside and Miski even got a cool bath, much to her disgust. This afternoon I'm going to try making pickled carrots, something I've been craving for ages.

4 year wedding anniversary

Today we celebrated our 4 year wedding (6 year total) anniversary. In australia it was yesterday but going by the Peruvian clock it was today. So we slept in late, took a lovely walk at Frenchman bay, ate lunch at one of our favorite restaurants (frenchys), and had a movie marathon at home. Perfect! Happy anniversary amor :)

Fritters

We've been having some nice weather which is great but I've come down with a cold just at the same time. Boo! So I spent most of the day watching my tummy jump as baby did some acrobatics. He seems to favor battering my left side. It's really wild. Anyway for dinner jose made us honey soy chicken, yams and zucchini fritters. Yum!

Second hand pram!

Found a second hand bugaboo! Totally stoked. Can't wait to cruise around with bub when he arrives. Nearly have the nursery ready for him :) it was a beautiful day today. Went to our second hypnobirthing class yesterday which was great and today just soaked up the sunshine outside
